CHORUS OF DREAMS

This online space was opened in January 2020 with the aim of collecting a public dream memory with a view to “Sogno 2: The Sleeping Muse”. The performance was created by Reverie site specific for the stage of the Palazzina Liberty Dario Fo e Franca Rame in Milan on 12 September 2020 curated by Raffaella Perna and with the collaboration of the Mudima Foundation.

The artist sang everyone's dreams a cappella and in freedom to exorcise the dreams, nightmares, truths and fantasies of those who, in purity and uncensored, have left their memory of a dream. To take the place of the “choir of dreams” format is the homonymous album that Reverie released on December 4th 2020 and presented on December 5th during a live streaming from the empty Teatro di Vinci, together with Raffaella Perna, Franco Guerzoni and Giuseppe Arnesano: he thus directly shared the 146 dreams sung during the four and a half hours of the performance making them available in the form of as many pieces of music. While the tangible “Sleeping Muse” by Reverie (a face in bronze and grafts of nature) was the beginning of this journey, “choir of dreams” is the first of the two audio artworks and was created with the desire to be the most accessible as possible so that everyone can listen to their own dream or the dreams of others and recognize themselves in them.

At the end of this cycle, an artist disc is going to be born from an intense synthesis work by the artist and which will have both a virtual nature, like a “choir of dreams”, and a physical one.
You can listen below a preview of the 146 tracks.
